Between Fences
A traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution showing in six sites in Arizona, one of which was the town of Ajo. It tells American stories through diverse fence types and in doing so, examines human relationships on an expanding scale. www.museumonmainstreet.org
Borders, Fences, and Gates
A complimentary show to Between Fences, hosted by the International Sonoran Desert Alliance. Work of local artists in all mediums that explores issues of space, physical boundaries, historical references, or societal representation of physical and cultural borders.
